1-1 tutoring sessions for students in Year 6 - Year 13.
1-1 Bespoke tutoring for children with specific SEND.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Clare, and I have been teaching English Language and Literature at GCSE for 20 years. I love teaching students and watching them progress and gain confidence- it makes me very happy!

Students would describe me as a teacher who is straightforward, reassuring and good at building confidence. I describe myself as a teacher who loves literature and language but is empathetic and understanding to those that aren't so thrilled by Shakespeare or Charles Dickens. I specialise in giving students specific feedback which will ensure they can progress in a way that is manageable for them. I have experience marking English Language and Literature papers for AQA Exam board and so I know what students need to do to be successful in the exam hall.

My extensive classroom experience has provided me with a strong skill set in motivating and securing progress with students in Years 6,7,8 and 9.

This includes students with specific learning needs.
